Jin Jun Mei tea, native to Fujian Province, China, belongs to a type of black tea leaves which are small with golden hues and velvety texture. At altitudes above 1,500 meters, tea leaves are grown in exceptional conditions in the Wuyi Mountain region and are picked by hand. The prepared tea turns golden in colour and its original taste is pleasantly sweet. Jin Jun Mei is special in that it is a rare and, as most tea lovers attribute it, a "luxury" type of tea. This tea also has health-promoting properties: it helps to treat edema, reduces fever, relieves severe heart spasms, facilitates stomach function, protects against tooth decay, regulates metabolism and treats hypertension and coronary heart disease.
